Kimberly-Clark created a BuzzFeed-inspired quiz and invited people to discover their own Original Thinker type. Welcome Original Thinkers Quiz-takers are then rewarded with a new emoji badge suitable for social sharing, as well as an invitation to find out about original thinkers at Kimberly-Clark.
The Dreamer: Head in the clouds? Sure - that's where the brainstorms happen. Not only are you drawn to the brightest ideas, but your belief that anything is possible helps you accomplish what others consider impossible.
The Analyzer: Big questions like, "How?" and "Why?" capture your imagination. As you dive far and deep for the answers, you also immerse yourself in the details. Problem solving appeals to your logical side, but it's the bursts of insight that fuel your passions.
The Disrupter: Not one to shy away from debate, you are hard wired to throw convention out the window and uproot any and all assumptions. The disruption leads to profound change that replaces the old with something new, better and more productive.
The Muse: Your warmth and natural empathy inspire those around you to do their best work. If you seem quiet, it's only because you are considering so many creative options. You don't feel the need to share every idea you come up with-just the brilliant ones.
The Adaptor: You enjoy exploring every side of an issue and like a wicked great maestro you tease out the positive in each approach. Your resourcefulness and ability to easily adapt to the latest input often makes you the one who finds answers to the most challenging questions.
The Nonconformist: You are a true maverick. Always looking for a better way, you're such an "outside the box" thinker that people wonder if you've ever even seen the box. That's okay. Your exuberance for the unexpected always gives people something new to consider.
The Maker: You have an amazing ability to understand how things work and how to make them work better. You can come up with a hack for anything. Whether it's eye-popping art or a DIY phone app...you're just the one to create it.
The Inventor: What's the big idea? Usually, it's one of yours..an obvious breakthrough that no one saw coming. You may have to exercise patience while everybody else catches up and catches on. Great discoveries are worth waiting for.
Kimberly-Clark developed "Welcome Original Thinkers," an initiative designed to acknowledge the array of individual attributes that contribute to original, innovative thinking. Kimberly-Clark identified eight Original Thinker types - including Nonconformists, Disrupters, Makers and Adapters among others. The heart of the campaign is WelcomeOriginalThinkers.com, a content hub launched this summer, which introduces visitors to real-life Kimberly-Clark Original Thinkers, Neenah-Appleton, WI and careers at Kimberly-Clark.
It is based on the notion that Kimberly-Clark employs the best minds and provides an environment that celebrates fresh thinking, new ideas and allows our people to re-invent how we do business. We Welcome Original Thinkers to help us continue our future success and carry on transformation in North America.
As part of the program we have a short "pop-quiz" similar to those trending in social media. The quiz helps employees and candidates determine their original thinking style. It lives on a new career website, www.welcomeoriginalthinkers.com, which features Neenah original thinkers and great content about K-C, our career opportunities and the Neenah-Appleton area. These resources will help us attract the best talent and support our future success as an innovative company.
Kimberly-Clark makes the essentials for a better life with well-known brands that matter every day-at home, school, work and on the go.
Throughout our 144 years, we have challenged conventional wisdom to innovate products that better meet the needs of consumers. We have created new categories with top brands like Kleenex, and redefined categories with Huggies and U by Kotex.
While growing our $18+ billion global business, we help build careers through collaborative teams that push boundaries and engaging experiences and endless opportunities to work with some of the world's most recognized brands. Our 43,000 employees are changing the world for the better, too, generously giving back to communities and causes around the globe.

Kimberly, Clark and Co. was founded 144 years ago in 1872 by John A. Kimberly, Havilah Babcock, Charles B. Clark, and Franklyn C. Shattuck in Neenah, Wisconsin, with $42,000 of capital. The group's first business was operating paper mills, which the collective expanded throughout the following decades. The company developed cellu-cotton in 1914, a cotton substitute used by the U.S. Army as surgical cotton during World War I. Army nurses used cellu-cotton pads as disposable sanitary napkins, and six years later the company introduced Kotex, the first disposable feminine hygiene product. Kleenex, a disposable handkerchief, followed in 1924. Kimberly & Clark joined with The New York Times Company in 1926 to build a newsprint mill in Kapuskasing, Ontario, Canada. Two years later, the company went public as Kimberly-Clark.
We place consumers at the center of everything we do. Billions worldwide choose our products to make a positive difference in their lives. That's a big responsibility and one we take seriously.
When consumers purchase our instantly recognizable brands, they also help make the world a better place. We seek opportunities to make more of our products with sustainable wood fiber, find ways to recycle our packaging, and challenge ourselves every day to discover ways to carry on the resources we enjoy today for generations to come. From our leaders to our front-line employees, we treat our planet's resources with care and consideration. We build sustainability into every facet of our business.
